RED DOT AWARD 2016

RED DOT AWARD 2016

We’re very honored and proud to have been awarded the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2016 by our concept watch - NAVIGATOR 1. Our founder, Ken Liu and 2 senior designers, Ivy Leung and Dragon Har were joined the Red Dot Design Awarding Ceremony on 22 September 2016 in Singapore (Red Dot Design Museum).

In 2016, the Red Dot received a total of 4,698 entries from 60 countries. Upon the conclusion of the adjudication, the Red Dot was awarded to only 244 concepts. Only 6.1% of the entries were awarded a Red Dot, making an achievement in the Red Dot Award: Design Concept an outstanding feat of accomplishment.

The Red Dot Award was created in 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. Over the years, it has become one of the most respected design competitions in the world, with the “Red Dot” a revered international seal of outstanding design quality. The independent expert panel assesses each entry strictly and fairly, live and on site, according to a specific set of criteria including degree of innovation, formal quality, functionality and ecological compatibility. The competition is comprised of three award categories: Product Design; Communication Design; and Design Concept.
